Ross Sutherland

Spoken Word - Shortlisted 2015

‘Free’wheeling lyricism’ and ‘caustic wit’ have been used to describe writer/performer Ross Sutherland who has also been hailed as a ‘truly contemporary original’ working across a range of platforms including poetry, theatre, film and new media. His work often explores new forms of writing such as computer generated poetry and also concerns the development of new models of collaboration. In Hinterland for example, he collaborated with social game designers Hide and Seek to create a month-long poetry game played across the streets of Edinburgh. With full collections of his poetry already published his voice on the page is also well respected.
