Arts Foundation Awards 2009
Advisory meetings are currently in process to decide on the shortlisted applicants in five new artforms chosen for the 2009 Arts Foundation Fellowships. They are Interior Architecture, Portraiture, Songwriting, Storytelling and Theatre Directing which, save the last artform, are all new categories for the Foundation's awards. Shortlisted Storytellers to perform at the Barbican
The night of 'The Contenders' on the 27th October will present four exceptional storytellers, Kath Aran, Peter Chand, Shonaleigh Cumbers and Katy Cawkwell who were shortlisted for the Arts Foundation fellowship last week. They will perform in front of an audience and the three judges Vayu Naidu, Kat Quartermass and Jillian Barker. Tickets can be purchased at the Barbican or online. Conducting Fellow signed by the Van Walsum Agency
Nicholas Collon has been signed by the prestigious Val Walsum Agency. His orchestra, Aurora will be performing at St Lukes on Friday 31st October at 7.30pm, presenting an adventurous programme including the fruits of their latest collaborative partnership with renowned capoeira group Cordao de Ouro.
New Trustee from Brunswick Arts to join the Foundation
